A short spring trip to Tonami, Toyama prefecture, from Nagoya (part 2)

Continued from Part 1...
Inside the Tulip Fair venue, an old traditional house is open to the public.

A Small Museum
The above old, traditional house has an interesting exhibits of farming tools, fire places, and others.

a traditional device for washing potatoes placed in the wooden box
in the stream
The above picture shows old and traditional devices placed in the river.  The three wooden boxes hanging from the pole into the stream are for washing potatoes.  The devices rotate in the stream and wash the potatoes placed inside.  What a unique and environmentally friendly technique it is!!

A fountain near the exit
Exit where bathrooms are located

Last but not the least...

You should check the bathroom near the exit (shown in the above picture).  More specifically check out a note in the bathroom.

We forgot what it was exactly, but the note says something like "Toilet paper, throw away in the bowl."  It sounds funny as if the note were getting toilet paper's attention!!  Sorry to say, but sometimes English in Japan is sooooo bad...
