Must Item You Should Get on the Street, Free Tissue, Like a Flier

Can you believe that in Japan, we can GET tissue on the street for free??  Tissue is expensive in foreign countries, but here in Japan tissue is used as an necessary incentive for attracting potential buyers or customers.  Yes, a little weird, right?

For example, some kind of  promotion/advertisement of products or services are done in a small plastic packet which contains some tissue.  Some ads are printed on the plastic cover (like the one in the picture), and others are on the card placed at the back of the packet.  In the latter case, you can use up all the tissue, but you keep the card for your future use.

The packet, like a flier,  is handed out to passengers-by on the crowded street in a big city.  Sales for apartments,  commercial goods, and even quick sexual services are promoted in this unique way.  The picture below is to promote car-shring service.

This package is for car-sharing service.
It is really amazing that those who are passing out the tissue packet on the street are somewhat tactical in choosing potential customers.  They can literally sense which one could get the free tissue and interested in their advertisements.

So don't get discouraged at not getting the free tissue (which probably means that you are not viewed possibles), but just aggressively grab it.  The tissue is actually okay quality, so don't miss out this FREE opportunity!

You might need some for your bathroom use in Japan.  Also, don't forget to check out what is in the packet: you may need THAT  information, right?
