One day trip to Himeji Castle part 1

Himeji Castle is one of the most beautiful castles in Japan.  Also the Castle was designated as a World Heritate Site.  Did you know that?  This is because the Castle has an "elegant" posture, which resembles a white egret perching on the ground.  It is nicknamed "Shirasaki Jyou (Enlgish: White Egret Castle).

We made a one day trip from Nagoya to Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture.  Here are some pictures:

First, some pictures show Himeji Castle:

The above picture was taken from the street which has a lot of souvenir shops and restaurants.  You can ride on the pulled rickshaw for the sightseeing.

Second, a beautiful Japanese garden:

The Japanese garden, located next to Himeji Castle, features beautiful gardens, each of which has a unique garden motif, such as rock/mountain, river-through-it, samurai warrior's, flower/bamboo, and summer trees.
